Dearest Delegates, Honorable Advisors, and Esteemed Guests,
As the Secretary-General of IRMAKMUN 2024, I am thrilled to officially welcome each of you on behalf of the organizing committee. It’s an honor to be the host of the inaugural edition of IRMAKMUN, and to experience this memorable event alongside all, as we share and collaborate in the spirit of diplomacy.
Centered around the theme "Stability and Youth Empowerment” IRMAKMUN aspires to promote meaningful conversation on issues of global scale, that directly impact the stability and development of humanity. Focusing heavily on uplifting and empowering young individuals, we desire to foster dialogue, joint problem-solving and skillful negotiations, that pave the way for a better future.
As Irmak Schools, in accordance with our commitment to excellence in education, we made sure to take every measure to create an environment conducive to productive discussions, supported by cutting-edge facilities and a dedicated team of organizers committed to making this conference as prestigious as it gets. By analyzing prior examples of excellent conferences, hand picking aspects from each that makes them remarkable and taking the necessary input from every one of them; we have strived to achieve the best possible combination of qualities a Model United Conference can have.
I am confident that the intentions of our team and the end result of our cumulative efforts, do align perfectly. Even in its first year, IRMAKMUN and all its branches possess the imperative features and the unrivaled academic standards set by the most prestigious conferences, while constantly implicating processes of the highest quality.
In my capacity as the Secretary-General, I encourage you to approach this organization with an open mind, embracing diversity and a willingness to explore new perspectives. We endeavor to make IRMAKMUN an ideal platform for mutually beneficial dialogue, where the interpersonal skills, rhetoric qualities, public speaking confidence and diplomatic skills of all delegates can truly shine bright.
